As if I didn't have enough excitement for one day, Raum decided to show up right before closing.

"You guys will be the death of me," I said, my body already heating with desire.

His shoulder-length raven hair was tousled and slightly wet, like he just got out of the shower.

"Who says I'm here to see you? I came for the tea." His eyes lingered on me, indicating that was far from the truth. If I was still the old Deja, all his teasing might have actually wounded me.

His teeth grazed his lips as they pulled back into a smile. He seemed pleased at my ability to take his teasing and dish it back.

"Only if you taste it first, to make sure it won't burn me." He leaned his muscular forearms on my counter, his dark eyes drawing me in like two black holes. "And leave a lipstick mark on the rim."

"You'd like that, wouldn't you."

My words wrangled in my throat. Already he was making me flustered.

"I'd like something else a lot more."

“I’m sure,” I said in my best flirty but dismissive tone.

His eyes never left me as I did my best to ignore him while performing closing duties. I may have enjoyed it more than I should have. Leaning across the counter to give him a view of what he couldn't touch yet, bending over with my back turned to accentuate the length of my legs and curves of my ass.

He liked to play games, so I decided to play with him.
